> I'm attempting to build the 20110213 release for MinGW/Windows.

I finally got the build through to the point where it built msp430-gcc for
Cygwin. I can confirm that this release (20110213) fixes the multiply
problem (fixed much earlier in gcc4), and also fixes the issue I had with
the interrupt vectors not being at the right addresses for the MSP430F247
chip. (At least, there was no warning message, and the hex output looks
right near the end; I don't have the ability to run that code right now.)

Today was "patch Thursday" (we get our "patch Tuesday" late here down under)
and that may have fixed the problem with the freezes. At least one of the
freezes happened when I did not have MinGW running at all, so it can't be
the cause of the freeze.

I'm rerunning the perl script now to make sure all the bits and pieces get
built; I suspect that I may have been using an older version of the run-time
library (if that is even possible). I'm building without insight for now.

Thanks to all who helped make this happen!
