Many thanks to you, Xiaofan. I've downloaded libusb-win32 and installed
the filter.
Now I'm getting the following output:

That means: the JTAG is now (at least) seen my mspdebug, but
functionality lacks somehow...
Any hints?

PS: mspdebug is not really vital to me. so please don't take too much of
your time for this issue. My current idea is just to make my very old
toolchain work again
