Have you looked at the KB install log? They are typically written to
%windir%\KBxxxxx.log. There may be some more information as to why you're
getting access denied.

Subject: [mssms] BITS 2.5 needed on Server 2003... Grrr

I have a few servers that are on Server 2003 R3 32 bit. The SCCM 2012 SP1
client won't install because of BITS 2.5.

I have downloaded the installer multiple times and I cannot install it. I get
an access denied error during the install, and I am installing it as the local
admin, so it is frustrating as most websites say the same thing.
I read a website that suggests using the /skippreq on the client to install the
SCCM client then push BITS 2.5 using SCCM. Not sure where I add that switch to.

Just wondering if anyone has done this with success, or maybe another way.

I think there is something wrong with the system, but I have only been working
on 1 server so far, so I hope what I am experiencing is only on this machine,
cause it is a pain.

Thanks,

Kevin Johnston
