Start with the ADForestDisc.log for any errors

You could bump up the LoggingLevel or DebugLogging values in:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Tracing\SMS_AD_FOREST_DISCOVERY_MANAGER

(I cannot find any documentation on what values are available for these however)

I enabled AD Forest Discovery on my SCCM 2012 Server and configured it to 
automatically configure IP Ranges for my boundaries. However, when I click on 
Boundaries, nothing shows up. AD user, system and group discovery are all 
working as expected.

Is there something specific I should be looking at to troubleshoot this?
