Well, then I guess you'll have to install it by hand for your ConfigMgr box.
Honestly, it really frustrates me that people focus so much on their "image," "build process" rather than focusing on their ongoing configuration management processes. In theory, you should be able to deploy a fresh operating system with default configuration values across the board, and simply rope it into your management "channels" (eg. SCCM, Active Directory GPO, etc.). If your configuration management tools are set up correctly, then you shouldn't really need a super complicated "build process" (or even worse, image). Systems will naturally configure themselves according to the declared standards, as they receive policy from the configuration management tools. The burden of justification is not on those who want to install ConfigMgr on Windows Server 2012, but rather on the people suggesting sticking with Windows Server 2008 R2.
