Windows 8 is the current desktop OS. Are you rolling that out now? :)

I agree - This whole discussion came about because a 2012 Image is not quite
ready. :(

You may not want to hear it, but: Windows Server 2012 is a current OS, and 2008
R2 is 5 years old. The burden of justification is not on those who want to
install ConfigMgr on Windows Server 2012, but rather on the people suggesting
sticking with Windows Server 2008 R2.

You can go in circles and circles about this with whomever you want, for as
long as you want, but it always boils down to the above.

Cheers,

Subject: [mssms] CM2012 on Windows 8 R2 vs Windows 2012

I believe this has been discussed here before but it just came up in a meeting
today.

We are being challenged to prove the necessity of Server 2012 for our CM2012
environment vs. Server 2008 R2. Other than the obvious (server 2008 is already
5+ years old) Can someone point me to a list of features from Server 2012 that
pertain to CM2012.

Thanks
