It appears Office 2010 SP2 and UAC conflict causing Office to not activate correctly unless you right click (while holding down the shift key) and choosing run as administrator. This works fine as long as the user is already an admin of the machine. However if the user is not an admin then this becomes an issue and you will have to put in your credentials as an admin. I have opened a case with MS to get this resolved and let you fellow ITForum OSDers know of a fix when I know.
