We had to do this for several DPs and I ended up writing a series of scripts to handle this...the scripts require SP1/CU1 and the PowerShell cmdlets that come with it
Script 1 (run from the DP) will create the prestage content files on the DP Script 2 will uninstall the DP and then recreate the DP under the new secondary Script 3 (run from the DP) will extract the prestaged content files created from script 1 Worked pretty well for us...let me know if you want them and I can clean up and send to you.
