We shipped new machine to user, had a custom script to migrate data via
USB/network (thank goodness for auto-switching NICs) and then shipped the old
machine back.

Had some user instruction issues but seemed to work alright.

Not sure what magic you are expecting here. You either bring the horse to the
trough or the trough to the horse. Using the Internet, is generally not viable
because of the time it takes to download the image (among other things).

Subject: [mssms] Ideas to Upgrade Telecommuters to Win 7

For remote users who do not come into the office, has anyone come across any
novel solutions to address upgrading them from XP to Win 7? Asides from having
them ship their laptop, or ship them a DVD/USB, are there any other options?
We are on CM 2007.

Thanks
Andrew
