Don't forget about deployment templates.  If these 8 deployments are going to 
be the same settings month to month, you could create a deployment template for 
each.  Then it's just a couple clicks for each.

I have a workflow where each month, after  I create a SoftwareUpdateGroup for 
the month I have to create 8 deployments for that group with various different 
mandatory times and collections targeted.

I think I would like to use powershell to do that.  This will be my first 
powershell script - maybe I am biting off more than I should.

Anyway, the first problem I am running into is that I can't tell what the 
difference is between start-CMSoftwareUpdateDeployment and 
set-CMSoftwareUpdateDeployment.  Which cmdlet would I use to create a new 
deployment for an existing software update group?
