The reason for this will be that the test pass performed on SCCM will not have included Always On. Because it is not tested it is not supported. Now why it was not required in the test is another question altogether.
I asked a while back and was told that the PG didn't see any reason why it wouldn't work. I know that's not helpful but best option now is to raise the issue with your TAM. I take it that your SQL server is remote from the SCCM server?
