Hi Guys,

This is a bit of long shot however I'm hoping someone has seen this issue and
found a fix.

I'm attempting to install the HP OEM Cyberlink Power2Go software as part of my
SCCM Task Sequence. This is the newish offering HP now include with their
business laptops and desktops.

I have the application silently installing as expected as an app during
testing, however when attempting to install it on a HP EliteBook 850 or 820
during a TS it fails. Further testing revealed Its failing because the external
USB DVD drive wasn't connected at the time of the build. Connecting the
external drive allows the app to install as expected.

I'm looking for a way to avoid the drive detection/check that this application
performs so we don't have to go unpacking and connecting external USB DVD
drives all the time.

The message I'm getting seems to be generated by the HP install shield
setup.exe. The setup.exe calls an msi however I'm unable to run the msi
directly due to the way it's been created.

My contingency is to just have the software available in my application
catalogue for those that want it however our preference is to have it installed
on all hardware as the image is installed down.

Has anyone come across this and resolved?

Cheers
Damon
