Are you looking for sizing so you can determine scaling or performance? Is the client count for that site going to grow?
With the client count of ~570 - I'd guess you would be fine following some general guidelines: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/scstr/archive/2012/05/31/configuration_2d00_manager_2d00_2012_2d00_sizing_2d00_considerations.aspx Component ConfigMgr 2012 Suggested Minimum Configurations Site Servers CAS/Standalone Primary Site (up to 50,000 clients) w/co-located SQL Server: * 2 x Quad-Core (Intel Xeon E5504 or comparable) * 32GB of RAM * 350GB - 950GB total hard disk space* (OS, ConfigMgr, SiteDB, TempDB) Primary Site in a hierarchy (up to 25,000 clients) w/co-located SQL Server: * 2 x Dual-Core (Intel Xeon 5140 or comparable) * 16GB of RAM * 450GB - 1050GB total hard disk space* (OS, ConfigMgr, SiteDB, DistDB, TempDB) Primary Site in a hierarchy (up to 50,000 clients) w/remote SQL Server: * 2 x Dual-Core (Intel Xeon 5140 or comparable) * 8GB of RAM * 50GB total hard disk space* (OS, ConfigMgr) Remote SQL Server (to support above Primary Site): * 2 x Quad-Core (Intel Xeon E5504 or comparable) * 32GB of RAM * 425GB - 1225GB total hard disk space (OS, SiteDB, DistDB, TempDB) Michael Dzikowski Senior Systems Engineer | Ally Technical Infrastructure - Windows Hosting [cid:[email protected]] From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Brian McDonald Sent: Friday, January 31, 2014 1:25 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [mssms] SQL Server Sizing I should point this out. This particular client environment consists of the following: ~570 (servers & clients) - 4 Locations (1 Primary Site in WA, 2nd DP at Primary HQ in WA, 3rd DP in CA and a 4th DP in the Cloud. How do I estimate the number of cores and processors for this installation? Thanks, Brian
