If you don't care about your own domain name and just want to post, then Wordpress.com should work.
I use JaguarPC to host my site and like it. I think it costs around $8 a month. I can use my own domain name, e-mail accounts, and do some other advanced things, like host files outside of wordpress for tools. They also have really great customer service for when you blow up your Wordpress install with bad plugins.
