MP, DP, FSP and others communicate over HTTP (IIS) From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Robert Marshall Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2014 12:41 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [mssms] Regarding IIS in SCCM
Several of our Roles are front-ended via IIS, as a service rather than a website a user browsers into, the exception to this would be the Application Catalog which is for users to consume. Take a Management Point for example, it is an ISAPI extension off the side of IIS, the Clients (CCM Agent) speaks to this Role over Port 80 (Client Port, whatever you’ve settled on if you changed the default) and gets Policy.
