Yes, I've tried the install account with no success either. I also had one of our other admins who is "Full Administrator" try as well - no luck.
I can't change any of the scopes or remove any existing roles. I can add new roles and delete the new roles though. It's as though these 3 accounts are now somehow corrupted... Guess it's time to open a support case. I am seeing this in the hman.log file on the primary site server: Failed : Sync SMS Admins group memberships status : -1 , last error : 0 Has anyone seen this issue before? I'm not sure why I'm getting different options when I go to add a security role.
