FYI it's always been this way to the best of my knowledge with Lync 2010
patches killing Lync with no warning. So here we distribute the update as a
software deployment with notification etc. and release a heads-up
communications to the users ahead of time explaining what happens.

Apparently, this is just how it works with Lync 2010. However, Lync 2013
patches install normally, swapping out in-use files during the reboot. *shrug*

Anyone noticing that it kills Lync 2010? It's not applying the replaced files
during reboot as it does for all other patches?

Incidentally, the Lync 2013 patch this month works normally - does not kill
2013.

Anyone else seeing this behavior?
