To my knowledge, yes. you can also use the dism method. For older OS w2k8
non-R2 or vista pkgmgr will be the alternative to dism if it's not available.

Thanks for the reply.

I can boot into OS and can run the commend line thru package. Will this
uninstall the patch from all OS versions?

If you can boot into OS: Package or task sequence run step.
%windir%\System32\wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:<kb number>/quiet /norestart.
(obviously retract for reboot). For TS run step be sure to ignore 64-bit file
system redirection for 64-bit OS. For package program be sure to use sysnative
(IIRC) work around for 64-bit systems.

Subject: [mssms] Uninstall KB2982791 using SCCM 2007

Hello,

Recently we encountered issue with KB2982791 and hence want to uninstall this
particular patch from all Windows servers OS including 2003, 2008, 2008 R2.

Any guide on how to uninstall this patch by SCCM would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
