Probably GPO.

Subject: [mssms] RE: Bitlocker

The short version. I'm writing a set of reports for a security team on
Bitlocker status and it must take into count a multinational company
(without MBAM). They will NOT allow "Used Space Only Encrypted" to be used.
I need to test on system with two physical drives in it, one drive is
encrypted and the other is not. No matter what I do, including turn off
Bitlocker and waiting for it decrypt then re-enabling Bitlocker, I can't get
it to fully encrypt the drive.

I'm starting to wonder if there is a GPO or local policy that is forcing to
"Used Space Only". I think I will start digging there to see if there is a
GPO to force it to fully encryption! I'm sure there is but now I need to
find it. :)

BTW, once I get done, I need to convert the system to French , German and
Korean! This will be fun, as I can barely read French, I have no idea what I
will do about others! :)

I can't find any reference to being able to convert between used space only
and full (or vice-versa) so my initial thought is that you cannot do this
directly.

Side question: Why?

My Google skills are failing me this morning or I need more coffee..

How can you convert a Bitlocker drive from "Used Space Only Encrypted" to
"Fully Encrypted"?
