Personally for compliance for an update I just use the All Software Updates node in the console (2012). One of the biggest things I see people overlook is the columns you can add. See my view below.

In WSUS it's fairly straightforward to just click on an update or PC and get the resulting list. I'm not seeing anything similar in the SCCM console. I ran the various Software Updates reports (Compliance, Deployment Mgmt, Deployment States, etc.). None of them seem to allow the simple selection of a single update, or a single computer and see the compliance state. Do people still rely on the WSUS console for this? Or is there a better place to look for this? We migrated a bunch of workstations to this domain and so their compliance statuses are all over the place. I could push out all updates at once, but I was hoping to determine which machines require which updates. I did hijack a SQL query that gives a full list of every update for every PC (but it's 1,500+ rows). I thought there might be a way from within the SCCM console to get the same visual. Thanks.
