At my current location I'm it and manage about 600 devices which isn't big at all compared to others here.
My last position it was a team of 2 and managed 5,000+ over 13 states. I think it depends on the size of the company/number of devices & users, and how many apps you're deploying. Do you have separation of duties (patch management, OSD, application packaging, etc.)?
