Thank you Sherry, very useful. If only I knew this before
maybe you could update the mof snippets to get version 4.5 and above as per

I recommend this mof edit:
http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/skissinger/archive/2011/05/25/hardware-inventory-mof-edit-for-net-frameworks-updated-with-v1.aspx

It'll grab v1, v2, v3, v3.5 and v4.x of .net

that’s what I did and that would work but I found out that .NET 4.5.2 will not
be added to ARP on Windows 8.1/Server 2012 R2 (it’s in the ARP Installed
Updates ‘Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2934520)’).

Now I have extended hardware inventory to include a registry key I have found
here: Determine Which .NET Framework Versions Are Installed

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full\Release
[REG_DWORD]:
378389=.NET Framework 4.5
378675=.NET Framework 4.5.1 installed with Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2
378758=.NET Framework 4.5.1 installed on Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1, or Windows
Vista SP2
379893=.NET Framework 4.5.2
381029=.NET Framework 4.6 Preview

this key is only for .NET 4.5 and later but that’s ok for me.

thanks all who replied

You could also make two separate query rules for that collection, one for x86
ARP and one for x64 ARP.

What exactly does your query look like? How exact did you write you “joins”?

Subject: [mssms] query Add Remove Programs (32 and 64)

Dear all,

I need a query for systems (x32 and x64) not having .NET 4.5.2

first I did a query that should give me all .NET 4.5.2 installations:

but it only returns records for x64 OS

I know there are records for x32:

this returns x32 Systems

why does the first query not work for "Installed Applications (64).Display
Name" OR "Installed Applications.Display Name"???

The built-in report "Computers with specific software registered in Add Remove
Programs" does return all records because it is using the view
"v_Add_Remove_Programs".

I need the same data with a query to create a collection.

Thanks for any insights
