Bummer, according to this article installing applications using a dynamic base
variable in your TS will fail if running off media.

So I tried this new TS which has the step to install applications using a
dynamic variable list. Which means it also needs to look at a collection where
all of these applications/packages deploy to. When I run this TS from PXE the
install applications step works properly. But when I load this TS onto media
and run it, the install applications step will not work.

I also need to run a command line to build the ISO since it’s over 8.5gb in
size so I can’t use the GUI.

By default the boot media pulls from the DP. I think the only thing it pulls
from the USB drive is the boot image if the task sequence uses the same boot
image. You can create a standalone media but you have to have room for all the
applications needed on the drive.

How can you store the packages and applications on a thumb drive that UDI will
call during the TS? Or is there a way that you can initiate an OSD using media
and then packages and applications will pull from the DP?

Thanks
