Yep, that’s what it seems like to me too, that they were in the middle of doing
something with it an never finished it.

When you say install data is pretty accurate you mean from one of those 2
reports? I don’t see install data just usage data and its always blank. Or do
you mean install data from some other report?

Applications are great. Cannot imagine you not using them because of a report.
The install data is pretty accurate but the usage data is just odd.

I cannot find a single reference to it on the web, it almost looks like
something they wanted to do then stopped working on. See quite a bit of
evidence of that in the database.

Yep, documentation on it isn’t so great in general.

I got no idea what these 2 reports actually do.

Application Usage Detailed Status

Application Usage Summary Status

We don’t have any applications out there, so I don’t have any real data yet.

Anyone know what we get from those 2 reports?

I’m not a big fan personally. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t use
Applications as much as I should. The main reason being that we can’t schedule
a deployment (ie: at logon) like a package.

Trying to get feedback of how people feel about application monitoring
reporting.

We’re in the process of designing software distribution using applications
instead of packages, and I’m not sure how I feel about the application
reporting reports.

Any feedback good/bad/indifferent?

Thanks
