Because of these installations (single or multiple), scan is going to happen 
across all devices in infra and if at all there are any such installations, 
they will get update by week or so which delay max week.

I agree with you, but to play devils advocate....

Keeps the compliance reports very up to date
If somone goes and installs a new version of .net or enables a new server
feature those will get updated right away.
If somebody installs project or visio that will get updated right away.
