I don't have an answer, but I have an "I wonder if..." direction for you to look at. Do you have full rights to the server which hosts your reporting site for SCCM? Particularly the SQL instance? Do you have (or can get) a service account with rights to the database which is the HP SIM data? (not your own personal ID, you want a dedicated service account) Can you make a sql 'linked server' to the HP SIM database using that service account on your SCCM Reporting site?
If so... now that you have a linked server to the SIM data, on the server which hosts your SSRS site.. you can create CUSTOM sql SSRS reports that combine data on your cm database and the SIM database by using the linked server. it's not SUPER fun... but it's possible. Usually you need a SQL dba to get everything right. You might even be better off having a completely SEPARATE sql server; where all it does is have linked server connections to those other databases, and a completely separate SSRS instance to run that 1 report linking data from both databases. Larger companies will do that kind of thing--link to multiple data sources and make complex reports--but usually there's some over-arching database team that does all that.
