Joe,

I had a close look at our configuration, namely in the registry. I remembered
that we had some issues before with the Send To missing in the Context Menus.

I did a little testing and if I remove the ContextMenuHandler keys for EPP
(Endpoint Protection) then I lose the right-click option to scan a file. If I
put them back, I immediately get it back.

Here is an export of our settings for that. Feel free to add it to yours to
test.

Put the following in a text file change the file extensions to .reg and
double-click on it to merge it to your registry.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\EPP]
@="{09A47860-11B0-4DA5-AFA5-26D86198A780}"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\EPP]
@="{09A47860-11B0-4DA5-AFA5-26D86198A780}"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\EPP]
@="{09A47860-11B0-4DA5-AFA5-26D86198A780}"

Subject: [mssms] SCEP right-click scan with

SCCM 1606

A user noticed a few days ago that the option to right-click a file and choose
Scan with System Center Endpoint Protection, is not available anymore. I see
the same result on my own machine. I looked through the Antimalware policy,
and can't find a setting for this. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
