I'm surprised at that... try enabling system-wide (all users) tracing and
see if the key is then created...

Not really, since if I enable system-wide tracing then the user one is of no
value {:v) But you can try it... you should at least attempt to set the HKLM
one on the target machines since it may exist for /them/ - maybe it doesn't
exist on your machine there because it's an OS that doesn't support it -
what OS do you have there?
