I suppose it's possible... it's for multiple users if they are running
concurrent logins, I guess, since you can view all their processes from Task
Manager too. Win2K, even Pro, was never built up for that particular
feature, I guess.

Why? {:v)
The system needs to know whether to trace calls just for the current user,
or for everyone. Thus, it would look in the appropriate reg key to find out
if it should. The two options are mutually exclusive according to the
control panel - so it either sets one or the other, but not both.

Well you cetainly can't set it if it isn't present {;v)
But yes, just see if the key is there and if so, change it.
However, for good karma reasons, at least make sure the user knows you're
going to change their system settings and give them a chance to say No.
