name resolution is failing at some point. Check your DNS settings, I am sure
you will find your solution somewhere in there.

I am trying to promote a new server to be an additional domain controller in
my domain. I keep getting this error.
The domain "mydomain" is not an Active Directory domain or an Active
Directory domain controller for the domain could not be contacted.
I do have both. Active Directory domain controller and Active Directory
domain.
