I don't think a Microsoft patch prevents telnet to port 25.

I'd consider reapplying the Exchange service pack though; however, I have
nary a clue what Windows version nor Exchange version you're running.

Subject: Unix - Exchange Question

We have a SCO Unix 5.05 server that sends emails from root regarding
various
overnight process with their status at completion. For the past couple
months we have not received any emails from that server and now all
troubleshooting now points to the fact that I cannot telnet into my
NT/Exchange box. Would one of Microsoft's many security patches have
closed
telnet access to the server?

Either way, how can I enable telnet access to that server again so email
can
flow through to the Exchange server?

Thanks in advance - Brian
