Yes i am able to ping logon server at that time. If i rename her profile
and let it create another, it will recieve the latest policy. I am running
sp6a on all servers and desktops. Just as a precaution reloaded sp6a. This
is the only policy we have and has not been changed until today. Of course
we lock people down as they wanted. And now it is not wanted. Thanks and
let me know of any other ideas. I will try anything at this point.

Well seriously I would upgrade to SP6a. I think you have some
vulnerabilities there with SP5 ....

Can you ping the logon server at the time the profile fails to load?

Subject: Profile Issue

All,

We have a large number of users running a single mandatory profile. All
users
have their profile path set to :-

%LOGONSERVER%\sharename\profilename.man

5 people out of 250 odd users are have an issue whereby their profile fails
to
download and they are presented with no icons at all.

All workstations are NT4 SP5.

Each time this happens all we do is delete any old / previous profiles from
their machine and they login fine the next time.

I have enabled the 'remove locally cached profiles' bit in the system
policy,
however this makes no difference to these 5 users.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

James Williams
