If he is only running a Novell client software, then you will not be able to print to an NT machine. He will need to have Client for Microsoft services installed and the proper protocol to communicate with the server. You can connect him locally to the printer with a cable, but you will still have to install the drivers for the printer. Without modifying the network settings this is the easiest way.

He has specific software on his laptop, so copying a file to a disk wasn't an option. He is running Novell 5.X (Sorry, I don't know my Novell #s) and Windows 98. We are running nt 4.0 sp6a with HP laserjet printers and Jet Admin software for our network. Is there any way for him to log onto the network just to print from Novell (without doing major surgery to his laptop)? Or could I manully connect him to the printer via a printer cable? I'm not sure what protocol(s) he's running.
