I had the same problem with my XP-Pro , I changed my computer name and tried
rejoining and it worked after two reboot (first reboot gave me error that
computer name doesn't exist , so I logged-in as local administrator and
subsequent reboot did let me join the domain)

WinXP Pro. Tried adding the computer accout from XP itself, but same result.
WinXP won't login, and the NT4 still claims problem with trust
realtionship(not really sure what that means?).,....
