The path statements are correct.  It tries to execute the applications
because when i click on it an hour glass does appear for a second and then
pointer reappears.  I don't think it is rights because I am an domain admin
and admin of the local machine.

I have just built a windows 2000 machine from scratch.  I have sp2
loaded
and any other critical updates I thought should be needed.  However, any
java applications I try to run will not start.  Nothing shows up in the
event log.  I am trying to use exceed and cloverleaf pathways interface
manager software.
