Depends on the boss...

If he is not computer literate, say windows NT will expire at the end of 2002.

If he is... I would upgrade from NT to 2000. From my experience:

2000 is way more stable, which mean:
         less crashes
         less OT paying IT/IS to stay late to fix it
         less downtime with employees standing around doing nothing.

2000 is faster across the network.
         On a DS3 here.  Downloads on NT (200 KB/sec), 2000 (400 to 600 KB/sec)

I have not used XP yet, so I do not know.
