Not sure about that, but if the print servers are on the same vlan as the printers it shouldn't matter. Not sure how the servers and printers are setup.

We are using Hp Printers/ports and DLC protocol. On our flat network over at HQ, we have no printing issues. the only difference between our current configuration and the "new" one is the V-Lans. -----Original Message----- From: Josefowski, Larry [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, December 10, 2001 3:44 PM To: MSWinNT Discussions Subject: RE: V-LANS Doubt it is a TCP/IP / VLAN issue then. Are users printing to the printers on their VLANS having the same issue? -----Original Message----- From: Sean McLaughlin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, December 10, 2001 3:40 PM To: MSWinNT Discussions Subject: RE: V-LANS Yes, we can ping the print server[s]. We are not using TCP/IP Printing. The users can connect and print intermittently. When the y cannot print we can still ping the server, but, the print jobs queue and we are forced to clear it and restart the spooler service. -----Original Message----- From: Hunter, Lori [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, December 10, 2001 3:32 PM To: MSWinNT Discussions Subject: RE: V-LANS I have a vlan for every floor in this building. We have our print server located on a 101 V-Lan and users are on 102, 103, 104. One of the issues they experience is that cannot connect/map to the printer.
