I guess the question is what do you mean by garbled.  Perhaps the problem
is that the images don't come down at all and the html tags don't have any
height and width values in them which will mean that the page might render
differently.  Then css's might not be comming down resulting in other
formatting problems.

Or perhaps instead the expected images you get something different?

If it was a dns problem you shouldn't get any page parts at all (unless of
course you have fqdn image sources).
