I am trying to use LDFIDE to change attributes of user accounts in AD. The attribute I am trying to change is the command name (CN) of a user. When I try this I get a message :
Connecting to "server1" Logging in as current user using SSPI Importing directory from file "import.ldf.txt" Loading entries. Add error on line 1: Not allowed on RDN The server side error is "The attribute cannot be modified because it is owned by the system." 0 entries modified successfully. An error has occurred in the program The message seems to indicate that I cannot change a CN attribute because it is owned by the system. Is this correct? Has anyone successfully done this? Does any one have a good resource on LDIFDE that that would share?
