William,
Some routers have problems with the NLB implementation of a cluster MAC
address. Microserfs recommend that you place a switch or <shudder> hub
in front of the router if this is the case with you to attach your
servers too. Also, make sure your network cards will allow you to change
their MAC address else you will be sub-optimally satisfied when the PHB
comes looking for you. Intel's work fine.

Technet Keyword searches on NLB- w2000nlb . There are plenty of
theoretical articles, but a bit slim on troubleshooting and bug fixes.
Good Luck,
Pat

Subject: OT: NLB with Win2k TS

Would like to add a second Win2K Terminal server in our company (small
server farm)
I know I need to purchase 2 copies of Advance Server and set-up Network
Load
Balancing
between these servers and optionally 2 extra network cards. however do I
also need to have
exactly the same hardware as our current TS server?
(PowerEdge 2400 dual P3) Are there other things I need to add to budget?

I would normally do research on this but boss hasn't given me much time
to
get quote in.

TIA

William.
