This is exactly what I needed. Thanks! I knew there was an easy way to do it.

You can open any document without worrying about the application by using
the start command.

"start readme.html" will open readme.html using your default browser.
"start readme.doc" will open readme.doc using Word or whatever app is using
.doc

Naturally, you can supply the full path to the file, "start
c:\mydocu~1\readme.html"

This works in Win9X/NT and later.

Subject: Running an HTML file from a command prompt

Does anyone know how to run a html file from a command prompt (i.e. from a
batch file)? I want to setup a generic ID in a NT 4 domain, which has a
login script that opens a html page. This ID will be logging into both NT 4
and Win 9x clients. Any ideas how to do this or any other ideas?

Please ask if you need more information.

Thanks in advance!
Eddie
