What kind of printer? Is the printer on the network or connected locally to
the print server in question? No 3rd party software is required for NT
Server to be a print server - it does just fine on its own. More info,
please.

Subject: Win NT as a Print Server...

Hello Everybody:
I have been given the dubious task of connecting two modems together for the

purpose of printing to a remote printer. I will have a Windows NT 4.0
Server at my disposal to act as a print server. I have a couple of
questions...Has anyone had experience in using NT as a print server?

I seem to recall that we used a Novell (module?) on an old 486 box that ran
as a print server. This arrangement worked excellent. Unless, I am wrong, I

recall that this Novell print Server program DID NOT require Novell OS to
run on. Does anyone know anything about this?

Furhermore, what third-party print server products work well on Windows NT?
Would like to hear all comments...All I want to print are simple, one-page
documents (and only once per day). Nothing heavy at all...

Thanks in advance for any assistance/recommendations.

Regards,

Jay H. Frantz
