Hi all, long before I was with this organization, the company that
originally setup our network setup a WINS scope ID of 111. It's been a
thorn in our side ever since, and now it is causing problems with a 3rd
party software program we trying to install.

Now, I found in the registry where it is stored on the workstations(all NT
4.0 and 2000 pro). My plan is to use a program called Multi-Reg to delete
the value, then remove it from all my servers, then reboot the servers and
remotely reboot the workstations.

The only problem is if a station is left off or can't be remotely
administered, I will not be able to communicate with it because of the
different scope ID's, and that means a site visit.

Does anyone know of a program that can manipulate a remote registry just by
IP address?
