We use Zero Administration Kit in our environment so the standard user is not able to map drives nor do they have desktops. It takes a full reboot to get the drive mapping back and they loose it randomly after being connected and using it properly. If I just log them out and back in it does not map the drive.

Does a logoff/logon bring it back? Could it be when the user is logging on they are not being authenticated by a DC, but by local cache? If this is the case home directories will not be remapped. -----Original Message----- From: Joe Reynolds [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, July 18, 2002 12:15 PM To: MSWinNT Discussions Subject: RE: Random disconnects with home directory drive mapping I thought about that but it does not loose any other network drive mappings. It is only the drive mapping that is mapped in user manager for the home directory. When I reboot it seems to pick it back up but it will randomly drop the mapping again. If anyone could shed some light on a resolution for this I sure would appreciate it.
