Hi you MSX lovers!

This might interest all you speed-freaks (and I mean hardware-wise,
for those who still use a standard 3,6 MHz. MSX): In the past I have
developed my own turbo-circuit, I call it MSX Super Turbo, and this
has been entirely through the process of refining, testing, updating,
redesigning, having it built into a bunch of MSX machines, and let
these work for a couple of months (or years), to find out any
problems with it.

In other words: we're talking about a 'solid' piece of circuitry
here. What is it: it is a solution to the general problem of
switching the clockspeed of a Z80 CPU between 2 'random' frequencies,
that don't have any relation to each other (unlike for instance the
well known 7 MHz. design). Because of timing requirements of the Z80
CPU, this is not all that easy, but I found a good way to do it.

Several people have been asking me if I still build these things into
MSX machines, and I'm rather reluctant to do it, having not TOO much
interest anymore in MSX, were further development is concerned.
Therefore I've been wanting to put my stuff on the web, so that
anyone interested can build it for him/herself, or find someone
else to do it for them (and don't need to bother me about it
anymore). Only: they would ofcourse need stuff like the schematics, a
practical building description, and some info to go with it.

That's coming up now! In contrast to other things I (have) put on the
web, I will use a new approach here: I will put everything on this on
the web, as soon as I have it, in other words: if a picture doesn't
look right yet, I will put it up there anyway, and if I have a better
one next day, there will be a better one up there the next day.

That's where you come in: ofcourse you will find a mess on this page,
and I want you to tell me what should be done! The end result will be
that I have my design available on the web, you have an excellent
piece of MSX hardware 'for grabs', and you will know that the form
it's available in, is tailored to YOUR desires!

So, I have 'allocated' the following address for it (in the page
itself is a link to it, so that you can use a previously saved
version to jump to the web-address where it came from):

http://huizen.dds.nl/~alwinh/msx/supturbo

If you want to, please add this to MSX hardware-related pages, so
that other people 'just browsing' will come along, and be able to
comment on it.

Let's see what happens!

MSX lives! (one way or the other, but there's no doubt about it)
