I had the same problem with the ide by Henrik Gilvard (i think it's the same
as your ide) and it's a problem of the ide, that can be solved by changing a
chip on the ide. Check into the ide, if just under the connector there is a
long yellow thing: if yes you have the same ide as mine, so contact the
Sunrise and ask to them.

Another thing: if the hd is not totally compatible with the ide, it will be
detected well, but if you try to read/write on it strange things happen.
