(Bla bla about disabling startup of SCC cartridges clipped out) I think the best way for using an SCC cartridge (and for copying ROM cartridges) is a blocker cartridge like the one I have built. It is plugged into slot 1 and prevents the BIOS from executing startup code of slot 2. That way the cartridge in slot 2 remains fully functional and adressable. Building a cartridge is easy (just open one of the old Konamis (I used Tennis) and you will see only a ROM chip (can be replaced with an EPROM) and two capacitors, so if you don't want to fumble with your original cartridge you can build your own cartridge simply reproducing the wiring in the Konami cartridge. You can get the ROM code for the blocker from me. Though it is based on the BIOS of my Philips MSX2 it also works with my Sony HitBit. You can test whether it works with your BIOS in an MSX emulator.
