Hmm... a philosophical question... If you are atheist, then hell doesn't
exists? hmm... you have saved the soul of the whole world!! ;-)

In my opinion, Thexder (like FireHawk) isn't a platform game. It is
something "strange" and addictive, an excelent game, but not a platform
game.

The best of all that you mention is The Maze of Galious. It has an excelent
playability, an immense scenario, good graphics, and some elements of RPG
and adventure game.
But there are other platform game, at least in the spanish market. For
example, Abu Simbel Profanation (it was good), Temptations, Bestial Warrior,
StarQuake, Game Over, ...

Well, I have played it a few times, and I think is good. It isn't excelent,
but it is good.
And... why do you say "it is the truth"??? It seems that you know the
truth!! Everybody knows that the truth is out there. ;-)

IMHO, there aren't at all solid argumentations. Inertia? Hum... You speak
like a Quake player speaking about the phisical forces that actuate in the
3D world!
All the things that you mention are details. There is not a mathematical
expression of "fun", then, a platform with no one of the qualities that you
mention can be good.
Why I say this? Because you can't affirm if a game is good or bad. You can
only say that you don't like it!

And, take in mind a curious thing: There are some Jet Set Willi fan clubs!!
