33k6 works, at least there are people using it.

When I connect to my PC localy, 115200 baud is not a problem. The hardware
handshaking makes sure the buffer doesn't get full. (controlled by
software)
I have to confess 115200 baud works better on a turbo-R, that means : it
can
handle the data much faster. But a 3.58 Mzh Z80 can do it too, although not
fast. You see that RTS will be more inactive then.
I don't really know how good Erix will handle the internet services you are
using. Cursor keys can emulate MSX, VT-52, ANSI and PC. (Cursor key codes
when using the default settings in Telix). This is the data the MSX sends.
Colour ANSI is also supported.

As far as I have heard, the 33C93 isn't made anymore. There are newer
versions,
but they are not pin compatible.
I "HAD" a SMD 33C93A on a PCB, but I have trown it away a week ago. I will
see
if it is still there. (probably not)
