Hi MaartenI have also had some problems with the disk change signal on a turbo R
when you replace the drive with a drive without DC you get the following:
Start the turboR without a disk in the drive, he reads the files of the first disk
inserted
and when you change de disk he will not update the files to the new disk.
Start the tubo R with a (MSX2 formatted) disk in the drive, everything works fine
and changing the disks is no problem
I have no knowledge abouth the turbo R so i left it like that.
When i look to the diagram of the turboR the drive has a DC and a ready signal
a normal drive will not have then both.
And normally when there is a DC signal also a DC reset signal must be present ??
On a gender i have once seen from turboR to normal drive the DC signal from the
turboR was connected to pin 2 (disk change reset ??) of the normal diskdrive
Most MSX (e.g. philips) do not use the diskchange signal
The only use ready (nothing to do with DC)
The check for diskchange by reading the fat or dir between the read actions
